CONCEPT

Sylvia Heyden is dedicated to supporting artists in developing new work in contemporary dance and performance.

Our curated rehearsal space programme focuses on providing artists with support for  research, rehearsal residency and performance/ StudioBühne.  

Sylvia Heyden & Ensemble Aetas, as well as visiting dancers and choreographers enable local audiences and communities to engage with contemporary artistic practice and processes.

Thanks to the subsidised rehearsal space program more professional freelance artists can now gain access  free of charge to T.A.N.Z.- Braunschweig and its flexible studios and performance space / StudioBühne.  

This gives them valuable time and space for focused creative work.

In addition, we can now offer more public participation formats, such as artist talks, 
Q & A  sessions concerning rehearsals and work-in-progress.
